the boring truth about getting RICH
Hey there friend,
I was talking to one of my students last month and made a joke about the classic TikTok Shop hook, "Did you see the video of that woman who..."
He had no idea what I was talking about.
Which made me realize something. To me, TikTok Shop content has become so repetitive that I don't even think about it anymore. It's just... automatic.
The trends, the hooks, the little nuances of the platform, it’s all deeply embedded into my brain (pray for me please).
But that's exactly why I'm making $20k+ every month while most people are still hoping and praying to hit over $5k two months in a row.
They want the sexy stuff. The hacks. The shortcuts. The "one weird trick" that's going to make them rich overnight.
The people making real money are just really, really good at the boring stuff.
The reason I saw success early on was because I got obsessed with the data. Not the fun kind of data. The boring kind.
Watch time percentages. View-to-sale ratios. Why one video converted and another didn't with the exact same product.
I started asking "why" about everything. Why did this video work? What was different about the tone? The on-screen text? The timing?
Most people would rather spend their time looking for the next "winning product" than understanding why their last one worked or didn't work.
But when you skip a day of posting because you "don't feel like it," you might be missing the video that could have made you $10k.
I've had it happen. One video angle I tested that seemed random at the time ended up making me five figures after it went viral. And because I understood why it worked, I could repeat it.
So yeah, learning to read your analytics isn't sexy. Posting consistently when you don't feel like it isn't fun. Understanding why one video converts and another doesn't requires actual work.
But that's exactly why it works.
While everyone else is looking for shortcuts, you can just do the boring stuff that actually moves the needle.
Trust me, your bank account will thank you for it.
