The product research framework that finds winners 80% of the time

Hey there friend,

Most TikTok Shop affiliates pick products like they're throwing darts blindfolded.

They see something trending, order it, make a few videos, and hope it works.

I would do the same thing if I wanted to tank my income by 90% overnight.

This random approach is why 90% of people struggle to make consistent money.

After testing hundreds of products and generating over $400k in commissions, I've developed a systematic framework that identifies winning products before they get saturated.

This is a REPEATABLE process that finds profitable products 8 out of 10 times.

Step 1: Market Demand Validation

Before I even consider a product, I need proof that people are actively buying it.

I use Kalodata to identify products doing at least $5,000 in daily revenue.

I'm not looking for products doing over $50k+ daily. Those are oversaturated.

Ideally, I want products in the $5k-15k daily range. Enough demand to be profitable, not enough competition to be impossible.

Products below $5k daily don't have enough buyer interest.

Products above $25k daily have too many affiliates competing.

Step 2: Competition Gap Analysis

Next, I analyze the existing content for that product.

I look at the top 10 videos promoting it and ask:

  • Are the videos high quality or amateur?

  • Are creators explaining the product well or just showing it?

  • Is anyone using strong sales psychology or just basic promotion?

If I see gaps in any of these areas, that's my opportunity.

For example, with Moringa powder, Rosabella was dominating with great videos but charging $50 for a month's supply.

Micro Ingredients had the same product for $25 but terrible videos.

Clear opportunity = Better product + worse marketing. I could fix the marketing part.

Step 3: Content Angle Identification

Before I make my first video, I map out the different angles (and styles of content) I can use to promote the product.

For a supplement, my angles might be:

  • Price comparison to competitors

  • Ingredient breakdown and benefits

  • Personal transformation story

  • Problem/solution narrative

  • Social proof compilation

  • Debunking competitor products

Having multiple angles planned means I can create 15+ unique videos without running out of ideas.

Most affiliates make 2-3 videos and then struggle with what to say next.

Step 4: Testing Framework

I commit to testing each product with exactly 15-20 videos before making any decisions.

This gives the algorithm enough data to optimize and gives me enough content to find winning angles.

I track these metrics for each video:

  • Total views across all videos

  • Product click rate

  • Sales generated

  • Best performing video angles

After 15-20 videos, I have clear data on whether to scale up or move on.

The 80% Success Rate

When I follow this complete framework, 8 out of 10 products I test become profitable.

Compare this to random product selection, where maybe 1 in 10 products works.

The framework eliminates most of the guesswork and dramatically improves your odds.

Common Framework Mistakes

Most people will try to shortcut this process:

They'll skip the competition analysis and pick oversaturated products.

They'll test products for only 5-7 videos instead of 15-20.

They'll pick products without planning content angles first.

Every shortcut reduces your success rate. The framework works because each step eliminates a different type of failure.

Implementation Strategy

Start by identifying 3 products that pass all 4 steps of this framework.

Don't test all 3 at once. Focus on one product for 15-20 videos, then move to the next.

This gives you the deep data you need while building sustainable testing habits.

Most people who follow this framework consistently are hitting $5k+ months within 90 days.

Product research isn't the sexy part of TikTok Shop, but it's the foundation everything else builds on.

Get this right, and everything else becomes easier.
