Why I Make My Grandma Post Every Day

My grandma thinks I'm crazy. "Kade, I'm an old woman. Can't I take a vacation without you texting me about TikTok?"

Fair point, grandma.

But here's the thing – every single month since September, her account has done minimum $5k in commissions. Every. Single. Month. Until last month.

She went on vacation for 12 days. We didn't post a single video during that time. Her commissions dropped to $2.5k. Coincidence? Obviously not.

Look, I get it. The idea of posting 3 videos per day, every day, sounds insane. A lot of my students are actually concerned and ask me, "Will I lose momentum if I take a break?" Well, no, that's not how TikTok works. You won't "lose momentum" from taking a day off. The algorithm doesn't punish you for that, this isn’t instagram. But you ARE leaving money on the table.

I learned this the hard way with my own account. For 4 months straight, I posted every single day for one product. Same routine, same grind. I was killing it – hitting $25k GMV monthly and winning the brand's $5k bonus every month.

Then I got burned out. "I'm so sick of making these stupid videos," I thought. So I took a break. Maybe 10 days or so. That month, I hit $20k GMV instead of $25k. The bonus was way smaller.

Those "worthless" videos I didn't want to make would've definitely pushed me over the edge to $25k GMV. Even if your videos are duds, you miss opportunities to test new angles, new hooks, new approaches. The sales from videos on days you don't want to post ADD UP.

Your best video might come on the day you feel least motivated. My grandma and I earned this lesson the expensive way – $2.5k expensive. Now she posts from the beach if she has to.

Because consistency isn't about maintaining momentum. It's about not leaving money on the table.
